About Deshun

Michigan born and raised, Deshun grew up around a city that spawned some of the greatest Motown artists, producers and arrangers of all time. Like most of these remarkable people, his gift for singing aspired in church at the early age of four. “Growing up in a church congregation where instruments weren’t used helped me develop an ear for acapella music, so when it comes to harmonizing or hearing a note that fits, I’m very much in my comfort zone“. What confirms Deshun as being one of these special talents is he puts GOD first in everything he does. “I have to put him first I’ve experienced more of my share of ups and downs, but I remain positive and steadfast with my faith in GOD, which allows me to write songs like “Dark Clouds” or “A Better Place” “I am so blessed in being able to write songs from life experiences and in doing so hoping that someone somewhere can feel the message because they’ve also experienced it or they’re experiencing it today“. Deshun introduces this Christian savvy Pop & Soul sound with catchy hooks and a smooth melodic style. "My music could be considered Christian, Pop and Soul, but the honest truth is you never really know what GOD might put on my heart, and that’s the excitement and the rush of not knowing what’s next. Deshun lends his talents and takes part in some of the greatest charity events around such as the grand opening of The African Museum in Detroit, The Lou Rawls Parade of Stars, The United Negro College Fund, The Magic Johnson Round Ball Classic, Toys 4 Tots, and Youth Group Outreach Programs. Captivating audiences with his talents through performances which include singing background for Superstar Singer Shania Twain, opening acts for Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, The Contour’s, Frankie Beverly, Spider Turner, R&B Group 112 and Jazz Superstar Alexander Zonchik. During his early R&B career Deshun had the pleasure of working with two of the greatest producers of the Motown era, Mr. Clay McMurray who's produced for artists such as Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5, Gladys Knight, Rick James, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Spider Turner, and Mr. Marlon McNichols who co-wrote and produced with the Great Norman Whitfield. Also working with one of the greatest producers of the late 90’s Mr. Bernard Terry; who produced for artists such as Baby Face, Madonna and the R&B Group Ready 4 the World“. Since moving to Tampa, FL in 2006 Deshun continued for 2 years performing in clubs, studios, and promoting his R&B music. “All that was fun, BUT, I felt an emptiness inside“. And although he performed and worked with some of the greatest secular artists and producers of those times, there was a much deeper calling within and knew that the secular world was not for him. He immediately answered the calling from GOD and returned to the life he always knew. THE CHRISTIAN LIFE & CHRISTIAN MUSIC!! “I know my calling and I have a message and a mission to share with the world“. To teach our youth as well as others that regardless of ones nationality, ethnicity, or color of skin we are all GOD’S children. To redefine Christian lives to become stronger in their relationship with Christ. To bring souls to our Heavenly Father. To define the meaning of life to those who don't know Christ as their personal Savior. To recharge souls by offering families worldwide with a clear, simple and undeniable message of Christ inspired music. To dance for GOD, to sing for GOD, and most of all, to live for GOD. Jesus calls us to, "Go into the world to preach the gospel” and gives the promise, “I am always with you to the end of the age”. “THERE’S NO BETTER FEELING THAN THAT”. Today the journey still continues for DESHUN and his Movement and Music Ministry for Christ!

Our Mission and Call
The Mission of this Ministry is to share the Gospel of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! To create a place to fellowship and learn of the unfailing love of God. We hope to add new friends so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun, when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the ministry will become even stronger.


STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that there is one God, manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, was born of a virgin, is wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose from the grave and ascended into Heaven.

We believe in the literal, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life.

Our mission is to show hope for the hopeless through this outreach ministry. To share that God wants none to perish and that He has an awesome plan for you life! We strive to make a difference by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, and expanding our reach.

THE WAY
What is 'The Way?', Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6). The Bible also tells us this, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) NIV. But wait there is more!
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:17) NIV. and now more good news,
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. (John 3:18) NIV. Jesus is 'The Way!' What do I need to do to be save? That's a great question! So let me ask you this question;

Has anyone ever told you that God loves you and that he has a wonderful plan for your life? I have a real quick, but important question to ask you. If you were to die this very second, do you know for sure, beyond a shadow of doubt, that you would go to Heaven? If “Yes” Great, why would you say “Yes”? If you have Jesus in your heart, that should be your answer, but if you don’t and your answer is “No” or “I don’t know”, let me quickly share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. The bible also reads, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”. And you’re a “whosoever” right? Of course you are; all of us are.

I have already said a prayer for all that read this, and the prayer is this. Lord bless this person and their family with long and healthy lives. Jesus make yourself real to them and do a quick work their heart. If they have not received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, I pray they will do so now.

Dear brother or sister, if you would like to receive the gift that God has for you today, say these words with your heart and lips out loud. Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You’re coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m saved; I’m born again, I’m forgiven and I’m on my way to Heaven because I have Jesus in my heart.

As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I tell you today that all your sins are forgiven. Always remember to run to God and not from God because He loves you and has a great plan for your life.
